February 15, 2021 Made 4 Years

I am a little late uploading this blog, but anyways here it goes.

February 15, 2021, made 4 years since I have landed in China. Yes, I even stayed during the pandemonium. Why, because my life is here. I did not feel the need to leave my life that I had created for myself here. Although I did miss my summer travel, and that has taken a toll on me emotionally, and mentally. I am still glad I made the decision to stay. It was good for the soul.

What have I been up to during this last year, beside living through the parallelogram? Same thing I have done the previous years, minus the travel. I have come a long way with learning Mandarin. I am working on my confidence in speaking. It is coming slowly but its coming. Continuing to network and meet new people from around the globe.

I did do something new; I rented an apartment. I was staying in teaching housing on campus. I decided I wanted to experience life off campus. So, I rented an apartment, it is still close by because I still walk, and winters here are COLD.  It has been going well and I do enjoy being off campus. I feel like I live in China now and not just working, which is cool.

This is a little about what the year looked like. All I can say is that I am ready to travel again.
